Black History Month 2026 – Kickoff Event
Building Legacies Together launches during Black History Month 2026 as a powerful community gathering centered on Black families, youth, and intergenerational strength. This inaugural event brings together parents, elders, young people, and community leaders to reflect on our history, honor resilience, and intentionally build pathways toward stability, wellness, and generational legacy.
Through storytelling, dialogue, and culturally grounded activities, participants will explore how legacy is shaped through family, education, economic empowerment, wellness, and collective care. The event will spotlight lived experiences, celebrate Black excellence, and create space for healing, connection, and forward-thinking action.
This kickoff marks the beginning of an ongoing initiative designed to support Black families with practical tools, shared knowledge, and community-driven solutions. Together, we move beyond remembrance into responsibility—building legacies that strengthen families today and empower future generations.
